Dear Katy

This isn't a direct response to your post, but as a potential Lib Dem voter in Glasgow North I hope you won't object if I make a suggestion or two about your campaign. Now the election campaign is almost upon us I think it would be a good idea if along with local activism you commented more on national stories. For example, yesterday's debate between Darling, Cable and Osborne was a clear victory for Cable. It would be useful if you commented on and linked to that story.

I understand that to win Glasgow North you have to break out of the traditional "middle class" bits of the constituency, but there is a danger that you will completely ignore your "core" support in the West End. The recent cuts in the English university budget have a negative effect on perceptions of Labour, even though they don't directly affect Scottish universities. You should have commented on that.

There also needs to be a more clear liberal content to your posts. The real women campaign doesn't seem to have much to do with liberal principles of free expression.

I will vote for you but I am "concerned".

John
