Scotland’s Budget

Monday, February 9th | by Katy Gordon Comments

Katy welcomed the news that an agreement has been reached on the Scottish budget, after negotiations between the Lib Dems and the SNP. Commenting on the news, she said:

“It’s fantastic that Tavish and my colleagues in the Scottish Parliament have stood up for Scotland and ensured that the new budget will really help to deal with the recession. Saving school building programs is a real achievement, and the new Finance Sector Jobs Task Force will help keep hardworking Glasgow people employed.”

Katy went on to say:

“From Northern Rock to HBOS, right through to this budget, it’s clear that only the Liberal Democrats are willing to take the bold steps we need to get out of this recession.”
