Women’s Question Time

Womens Library Hustings with Katy Gordon - MSP Candidate for Glasgow Kelvin

On Wednesday 7th March, Katy took part in a lively debate at the Women’s Library Network, Parnie Street in Glasgow. As one of an all female panel of party representatives, she answered questions from the audience on a wide range of topics, including violence against women, equal pay, extending free school meals and Trident. For many of the women attending, it was their first taste of ‘live’ politics and made a great impression on those attending, with some even chosing to register to vote on the night as a result. Adele Parks, the event organiser, commented:

“I was impressed with the levels of sisterhood expressed on the night and want to thanks all those participating for their generosity of spirit. I think many were inspired by the non-combative approaches of MSPs and PPCs on the night and were inspired by hearing the journeys made by those on the panel into activism and politics.”
