River Kelvin Clean-Up

Today Katy joined the Friends of River Kelvin to clear rubbish from the banks of the river. In two hours their haul of bottles, footballs and even a computer filled park bins to overflowing. One lucky helper salvaged a bicycle and was last seen riding home on it.

Katy said:

While it was great to get involved in such a worthwhile local activity, I am appalled that such a beautiful area can fall into such a state. We need to get the message across that recycling is free, easy and worthwhile.
